Lusin Clean L 23 F

Lusin® L 23 F mold cleaner is recommended and tested given its proven capability to substantially minimize buildup in the mold. Lusin® L 23 F is used for the cleaning of dirty moulds and for dissolving polymer residues (e.g., PVC, POM, polyamides, acrylates, etc.). Spray Lusin® L 23 F on contaminated moulds, allow the product to react and then remove it by producing parts (they will initially show affected surfaces). The product can also be removed by using a cloth wipe. If required, the procedure can be repeated several times at increased temperatures and longer reaction time (1 hour maximum).

The product is applied directly to the mold cavity between two cycles, and after some reacting time, polymer buildups were softened and pulled from the mold through the process of producing parts. This method not only allowed for a quick and easy cleaning without having to dismantle and handle the mold, but it also enabled the thorough cleaning of hard-to-reach areas. The new approach is proven successful and implemented into a new regular maintenance routine

In case of production stoppage, after having cleaned the surface with Lusin® L 23 F, an anti-corrosion agent like Lusin® Protect O 45 F (if NSF compliance is required) should be applied.
